LA-Represent!

Waiting in line for the boat tour

First day to see the city during the day after many layovers when flying in Sunday. Went to Pearl for art supplies... still can't comprehend how much "stuff" they had. From there we hopped on a boat on the Hudson River to check out the Statue of Liberty/neighborhood skylines. It was my first time drawing in the city, and I soon figured out that gesture drawings are a necessity. After the boat ride, we headed to the Museum of Natural History. Saw the space movie and then checked out the Culture Halls. I really enjoyed seeing so many different types of clothing, cookware, masks, etc. The artwork on the pieces was primitive and moving.
Afterward, went to dinner with friends at Dos Caminos in Manhattan and enjoyed some delicious guacamole. The City has so much to offer. It is as if there are several countries just thrown into one city. I guess that's why they call us the melting pot ha. Really exhausted after such a long day and immediately crashed after!
