Romanesque capital |
Today we headed waaaaay uptown to the Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park at the top of Manhattan. The Cloisters holds the medieval and gothic collection for the Met. Many of the architectural elements (stones, pillars, stainglass) were imported from Europe in 19th and 20th century. Here are a couple of images.
