The Big Apple!

The city is really big....but I have not seen many apples? haha..It is also hot just not 102 like home is right now. New York is a lot different than in the south. For one there are not as many people and the people, which are here, are mean! I miss all the big trees in the south. Going around the city you see trees, just rather small trees. While we walk up and down the busy streets with taxis, bikes, busses, trucks, and people. You are almost guaranteed to get some kind of water on you while you walk up and down the streets. This water from above is not rain either... its from a bird, A/C unit, or from someone up above.... Well going to Moma's was great. This art museum was 6 stories high. All the floors had different time periods with a different mediums. Getting to see Claude Monet in person was very impressive. I knew it was big but No... it was the whole wall! I also enjoyed seeing the women's photography room! I could have stayed all day in that room. Getting to see the photos from Annette Messager in "My Vows" and Berni Searle in "On Either Side." Getting closer to the ground floor the sculpture part of the museum was interesting, even for me. I remember seeing some blinds which looked like they came from a cheap hotel. This blind was laid on the floor, and around it was yellow tape to mark the boundaries. I did not understand this work because I didn't see the art in it. I later found out that it was a way for the artist to make a statement in saying what ever I create, and say is art, IS art.
